Reporting Meeting of the Trade Union Committee Held
On April 14 of this year, the Trade Union Committee of the National Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan held a reporting meeting on the work carried out in 2024. The event was attended by responsible staff of the central office under the leadership of Deputy Chairman of the National Statistics Committee, Ziyayev Zokhidjon Muratovich. At the meeting, member of the Trade Union Committee Nigora Dehkanova delivered a report on the activities implemented throughout 2024. In addition, the results of material and moral support provided by the Trade Union Committee to retired employees in the field of statistics and families in need were reviewed. At the end of the meeting, the new composition of the Trade Union Committee was elected by vote. Nurbek Sheraliyev, Head of the Department for Organizing and Conducting Censuses, received the most votes and was elected Chairman of the Trade Union Committee. Zoyir Yuldoshev, Head of the Department of Demographic, Labor and Gender Statistics, was elected his deputy.

Statistics Agency in a new format
According to the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Statistics Agency has been reorganized and is now called the National Statistics Committee. The new committee is tasked with aligning the statistics system with international standards, improving data reliability, and refining statistical reporting. By the end of 2025, the “Regional Statistics” information system is planned to be launched. Additionally, AI-based interactive services “Advisor” and “Analyst” will be introduced, along with the establishment of a call center. In the 2025/2026 academic year, a branch of the Economic Statistics Department will be opened at Tashkent State University of Economics.
International cooperation
Dutch experience for Unified Reporting System
Uzbekistan will utilize the Netherlands' Standard Business Reporting (SBR) system experience in implementing the Unified Reporting System. In this regard, an online roundtable discussion was held with Dutch experts, where the benefits of the system for businesses and government agencies, as well as the opportunities for structuring accounting information based on unified standards, were discussed. The event was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Justice, the Statistics Agency, the Ministry of Digital Technologies, and other organizations related to economic and financial sectors. During the meeting, experiences were shared on the successful implementation of the Unified Reporting System in Uzbekistan, and agreements were reached on improving the qualifications of government specialists in this field.

New Reporting Procedure for Entrepreneurs
By Presidential Decree No. PQ-8 dated January 9, 2024, the Republic of Uzbekistan has approved a unified list of reports and statistical data to be submitted by business entities to government authorities. According to the document, reports must be submitted exclusively through information systems. By January 1, 2026, a Unified Reporting System will be introduced, which will allow entrepreneurs to generate and submit reports to government authorities via the “Entrepreneur’s Personal Account.” The reporting procedure is established as follows: ️From January 1, 2026 — on a voluntary basis for all entrepreneurs; ️From January 1, 2027 — mandatory for small and medium-sized businesses; ️From January 1, 2028 — mandatory for all entrepreneurs. Additionally, according to the decree, starting from 2024, eight types of reports and statistical data that duplicated each other or could be obtained by government authorities from other sources have been canceled.
